All Throught the House.

Quick post, I'm super tired but I know I won't have a chance to get on here this weekend. In an earlier post I mentioned that I was looking forward to the day one of the kids had to stay home from school and then I would get some one-on-one time with just them. Well it happened today, soooo early in the school year. Nathan has a minor cold, nothing serious but enough that I couldn't send him to school. And yes, it was GREAT having the afternoon just with him. I read the library books that we don't always get time time for, and played a couple of games of Candyland. It was fun. But poor Adam was terribly frightened at the thought of being at school alone. He begged me all morning to let him stay home and I felt bad but I had to say no. (For those who don't know - my boys are 4 year old identical twins and being separated is not something they're used to, or want to get used to!) I explained to him that I understood his anxiety and that it's fine to feel that way, but that he would have a good time and end up being glad I made him go. Once we got to the school and he realized that it was really gonna happen he braved up. He told me "ok, I'll have a good day." and walked in without hesitation. He did have a good day, said he was happy he went, and I feel so so so proud of him. Not such a quick post. I guess this was like therapy for me because I really did second guess my decision to send him, was worried he actually wouldn't be able to handle it, and he showed me what a great kid he's become.
Ok, here's my card.

Well done to Adam, I am sure that it must have been a bit scarey for him without his twin! Hope that Nathan's cold improves soon.

I love your card, the stitching is just perfect and the heart just adds the finishing touch. I remember the first time I left my girls when they went to school, think mum has to be just as brave as the kids! My youngest has just left home, and believe me that is really sad, make the most of your lovely little boys. Thanks for sharing this with Craft-Room Challenge and good luck. Julia xx
