Hi and happy Wednesday. I've had a good day. Didn't plan to do much as we had a severe thunderstorm warning that lasted the whole day. But the sun just kept shining. It got quite warm and I was able to let the boys play outside for awhile. When the storm did finally hit it was around 4 in the afternoon and was over in a heartbeat. But I heard on the news that we in Ontario did have 3 brief tornadoes!
I made this bookmark because I know I would have liked it when I was a kid. I always had my head in a book. And summer is the best time for reading. While laying around enjoying the sun.
Pics a plenty....
The back of the bookmark. For recording your fav books.
This little guy is made from pom-poms and is attached to the bookmark. He hangs over the outside of the book.
For these challenges -
The Paper Variety. POLKA DOTS
(more amazing layouts by the DT.)
Paper Sundaes. They have an assortment of toppings, I've used YELLOW AND DIE-CUTS.
Lawnscaping. CALLING ALL CRITTERS!

Farrah

Good Luck W & C.
I have to be AMAZINGLY fast here as I have to run my boys to school!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!! Mine was a lot of fun. I could share a thousand stories from this weekend about all the amusing things my kids did, but as I gotta be speedy I'll just say my kids are a constant adventure.
This weeks challenge at Kaboodle Doodles is in honour of the "real-life Cinderella" Kate and Prince William's upcoming wedding...... HERE COMES THE BRIDE. And it's wedding season now so probably alot of you will be needing cards for the occasion. The winner will get 2 images from The Crafty Pad, who were nice to let us have a few images to play with.
thanks for looking, and hope you'll play along,
Farrah

Easter At Kaboodle.
Did you have a good weekend? I spent it at my mom's. It was a nice trip, and I saw my aunt that I haven't seen in 10 years. She brought a ton of family photos, dating all the way back to the 50's. It was a lot of fun.
On to our new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles. EASTER!
the sponser is Some Odd Girl and the winner will receive 3 free images. I'm a huge fan of Some Odd Girl stamps and loved working with one for this challenge!
Also for these challenges -
Creative Inspirations. EASTER
Penny's Challenges. EASTER
Digital Challenges. LITTLE WOMEN. Use a female digi.
Totally Paper Crafts. SPRINGTIME.

Diaper Cake = Fun.
For me, diaper cakes can go either way. Sometimes I enjoy putting them together. Other times, not so much. I think the problem is I have a hard time mentally picturing where everything is gonna go. And when I make a card I put all the pieces together and have a good look before gluing them all in place, but that's not really possible with a diaper cake so I just cross my fingers and hope for the best. This one I had fun with though. A bit of ribbon, a bit of dp, and a lot of tissue paper.
I thought I'd try something different by taking some pics in my daughter's room. The lighting in there distracted from the colours of the cake but the overall effect is pretty cool so I am posting these one's too.
City Crafter is celebrating their first birthday this week. They have a blog hop happening right now and a challenge. The challenge is to case this card by Sylvia Nelson.
I've used the shape, the swirls and the birthday theme. Only mine is to celebrate a birth day, literally.
Also for The Paper Variety. They wanna see flowers. Lots and lots of flowers. I'm gonna go check out all the other entries as I'm always looking for new ways to make flowers!
Thanks,
Farrah

Far Out.
Over the weekend I saw a 7 year old girl eat an outstanding amount of chocolate. Much, much more than I could possibly consume and I consider myself a pro. The sugar high put her into a strange delirium, she was swaying and kinda chanting to herself, it was really a sight to see, and it made me think of the 70's ,psychedelic stuff and "hey man, those lights are, like, so amazing man..", and this card.
The bunny is a digi from Some Odd Girl, and the eggs are a clear stamp from Rainbow Studios that I won. Thanks again girls!! Rainbow Studios has another great give-away happening right now. Head over for your chance to win!! (I will not enter this one for the sake of fairness, but if they do anymore I'm going for it!)
For the background I just typed a long rant about the wonders of chocolate and printed it out.

A lot of Felt.
Welcome to another Monday, and a new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles. Last weeks GET GIRLIE cards were amazing. I'm overwhelmed with inspiration!! My TO MAKE list is forever getting longer, I need to have more crafting time!!
On to the new Kaboodle Doodles challenge. CUTE AND CUDDLY. Bears, bunnies, doggies, even babies I think fit into this theme.
Our sponser is Digital Delights and the winner will receive a $10 voucher to use in their store! Great, right?!
I went a little mad with this but I have such a love for felt. This is the bag I made for the challenge.
And here is the rest of them.
I had to throw in a Christmas one while I was on a roll.
Thanks for looking,
Farrah

Be Cheerful.
I have to be quick today. My boys are having a little snack so I'm gonna try getting this post done while I can.
It's Friday, the weather is great, we've a fun weekend planned. I feel like this.....
I bought this box from Solutions a while ago. I pulled it apart for the template and as I'm trying to use up some of my older stash I made this.
And I'm happy because I was able to combine 3 of my fav challenges with this.
City Crafter has a CHEER UP theme.
The Paper Variety has APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS
and
Moxie Fab World has a few challenges happening right now. This is for PAPER GIFT PACKAGING.
In an earlier post I mentioned that my son drew a wonderful rainbow picture. Well my husband wanted it for his desk at work, so I asked Nathan to draw another one for me. Not quite as much detail as his previous one but I still LOVE it.
Thanks and have a good weekend,
Farrah

Rainbow Love.
I cannot believe March is gone! That may have been the fastest month to ever go by. Before I talk about our new challenge at Just Tracy's Crafts Challenge I wanna say a HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up for our first one ever!!
The challenge for the month of April is RAINBOWS!! Ahhh lovely. And check out the work by my fellow DTs!! Outstanding! Everyone really went all out for this one.
The sponser is this fantastic new stamp company called Rainbow Studio's. Click on the link to visit the store. Here's this months prize!
Thank you Rainbow Studio's for offering this great prize. Also I love the way the plastic the stamps are packed in have a rainbow tint to them. Clever.
Now for my card.
I had to take a close-up of the little girl as she's just so cute. The digi is Pink Cat Studios. This card really behaved and fell into place like I wanted it to. Kinda CAS as I thought the image could carry most the weight.
I look forward to seeing all your colourful creations!! You've a whole month to play along!
