SUMMER.

Hi! I'm so thrilled to welcome July! It's gonna be so great having my daughter home, and I can't wait to fill the days with fun stuff. I'm looking forward to fireworks tonight on our street, trips to the splash pool, not rushing like a headless chicken every morning, Big Brother (fingers crossed Dr.Will becomes a houseguest), fun nights with friends, searching for RPatz in Toronto, so much planned that it's sure to be a great month.
We have a fun challenge this month at Just Tracy's Crafts.

Spotty Dotty.

Hi everyone, and happy Monday to you.
This is my last DT card for Kaboodle Doodles. I've had a lot of fun working with all the ladies there but I know that through the summer I won't have the proper time to dedicate to them so I've decided to step down. I also have many, many crafty things I'd like to work on, so it feels good to know that what time I do get I can spend on anything I want! On a related note, we have a DT call going on over there right now. All the details can be found HERE.
This weeks challenge is SPOTS AND DOTS. Our fab sponser is The Crafty Pad and the winner will receive 2 free images.

Printer Problems.

While I was starting this card, my printer was acting bonkers. It would print, but the lines were all doubled. So weird. This is my DT card for Kaboodle Doodles and the sponser is Meljen's Designs and I always like to use a sponser's image for my card as it's so nice that they share them with us, but because I was unable to properly print it out I had to do something different. So I used their cupcake digi as a template and cut it out of felt.
Our theme is any project FOOD/DRINK related and the winner will receive 4 images from Meljen's Designs.

Christmas Set.

I really haven't been in the mood to make anything Christmasy but forced myself since I'll be doing 2 craft shows just before the holidays, so I'll be needing a lot of Christmas cards. So I made up my mind to finally start on this project.... and so many things went wrong! First the holly leaves. I have a STACK of Cricut cartridges and NONE of them had a decent cut for the leaves. So these are all hand cut, no template or pattern - just freehand. Then the buttons. I needed 18 red ones. I had 16. I have about 200!! white ones so I laid 18 of them out on paper and covered them in red dye and let them soak overnight. Worked out great, even gave the buttons a nice glossy look.


So in the end, this card set got finished and I'll be waiting a little longer before I do any more Christmas projects.

Kaboodle Doodles Time.

Yikes, I have soooo little time here! PA day for daughter but school for the boys.
Okay, our super new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles couldn't be more fun...... USE A FLOWER AS MAIN FOCAL POINT. The winner will get 5 images from Tiffany Doodles and as always we'll be picking out our Top 3 of the week, so I hope you can join in.
