M.I.A.

I've been feeling bad, soooo many fantastic entries last week with us at Kaboodle Doodles but Blogger has been giving me serious problems and I've been unable to comment. Frustrating, but it appears to be working now. Just in time for a new challenge. Kinda a tricky one - SHOW YOUR COLOURS. Use only your country's colours on your project. I'm Canadian eh so I've used red and white. I spent a lot of time thinking about how I was gonna put this card together, so once I got started it all just fell together.

As it has a rather CAS style I added some dimensions to all the petals for effect. Also, the "notepaper" look was made using a hole punch and scissors but I have seen punches that are similar.

Our sponsor is the Paper Shelter. They are full of fantastic digis and the winner will get a $10 coupon to spend at their online store.

Happy Birthday.

A little while ago the DT over at City Crafter asked if I'd make a surprise birthday card for Kirsty (DT and creator) of their fun little blog. I was thrilled.
I've noticed that she leans more towards the vintage style so wanted to reflect that in my card. After some trial and error - vintage is not my norm - I'm happy with how this turned out.
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kirsty!!!! Have a fantastic day.

Aim High.

Did everyone have a good weekend? It's still going for me, here in Canada we have a long weekend. Hubby's home, and no school for the kids. It's great. And the weather has been fantastic. So although it doesn't feel like a Monday, today is the start of our newest challenge at Kaboodle Doodles. The challenge is use DISTRESSING. Easy peasy. The sponser is The Crafty Pad and they're offering the winner 2 free images. I used one of their digis for my card.

Finding Time.

I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this card. I'm glad I was able to get the time to finish it, but I don't have much time left for this post!! We have a busy day planned, so quickly, it's a pull-out card that was inspired by the SPOTS AND STRIPES challenge at City Crafter.

Thanks,
Farrah

Chevrons.

I've been looking forward to the Chevrons challenge at Moxie Fab World and had a rough idea of what I wanted to do with it. Then I altered my plans to fit in with 2 of my other fav challenges. City Crafter asks for spots and stripes. A fun challenge and I have another card all planned out in my head for this one. Fingers crossed I get the time to make it. Also for Lawnscaping. They wanna see polka dots.

Tic Tac Toe.

Hi everyone, hope your weekend was good. Mine was pretty casual, nothing very exciting to report. Wasn't that rough when Blogger went down?!! I felt so cut off without it.
So today begins our new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles. We have a tic tac toe board for you to draw inspiration from.

The sponser is Digital Delights and the winner will receive $10 to spend.
On to my card.

I went with the bottom row of digi/lace/flower and I was not at all impressed with how this card turned out. The problem is that I am not very good at colouring. Then I attempted the skunk image and made a mess of it. Not saying anything unsavoury about the digi, it's great and that wasn't the problem. It's like the expression " it's not you, it's me. " I was going to bin the whole thing but really didn't mind the rest of the card. This is what I turned it into.

That's better and I am now 1 step closer to having convinced myself that I need to take the Copic plunge.
Thanks,
Farrah

Lots Of Layers.

That's our theme this week at Kaboodle Doodles. LOTS OF LAYERS. Really, that's an easy one! The sponser is Stamp Fairy and they have tons of fun images to choose from.
I used their sun digi and lots of bright papers. I think I'll send this card to Mother Nature as a thank you for the warm and beautiful weekend ;)

The red behind the sun and the little heart are felt. I like how this card turned out, it behaved and all fell nicely into place.

Hope you'll play along,
