I finally finished my daughter's birthday invites. They were so fun to make because she helped out a lot. I love when we get some quiet girl time together. She's really growing to be so crafty, but I think my son Nathan will end up surpassing her in creativity sooner or later. He puts an outstanding effort into all his drawings and has an amazing eye for details. The other day he drew a rainbow that was just beautiful.
As my daughter is having a Makeover party its only girls that will be attending so I didn't have to make an overwhelming amount of invites. So I indulged a little and made pouches for them too.
All the party deets are on the back. I didn't take a pic because I'm not crazy about posting my address on blogland for just anyone to see ;)
The papers are from a Martha Stewart collection that I've had for quite a while and the top is tissue paper that I crinkled up into a ball shape.
As I was in the middle of making these City Crafter posted their new challenge which is IT'S A CELEBRATION. You have to use a banner and/or the word PARTY on your project. These invites aren't exactly as I first planned because I switched them up a little to include both!
Also for a challenge blog that I just recently discovered, and love!!The Paper Variety. Fantastic DT work. They have a great combination of cards and layouts to draw inspiration from. The challenge is MAKE YOUR OWN 1-2-3. I've used 1 tissue pompom, 2 buttons and 3 patterned papers.
Thanks for stopping by,
Farrah
